This Fisherman’s Lilt (Reel) - This is our first tune to learn in the key of C. We will go through the scale of C and the slight difference from playing in the key of D or G. We talk about one of my favourite bands for recommended listening. You will hear the tune, then we break it into sections and learn each segment with the help of instruction as well as live ABC notation. We play each part after we learn it and then perform the tune at different speeds towards the end of the lesson.
